Autumn comes from the love that God calls us to have for one another. It speaks of closeness and friendship - the desire for the best for loved ones; a human reflection of God's eternal presence with us. It also reflected on the inevitable change that life brings, encouraging the listener to have courage follow that call for adventure while always knowing that home (a loved one) is not as faraway as they may think.

Secret is one of the pieces most near and dear to my heart. Using very metaphor-rich language, it embodies the pain I feel watching my peers go through unnecessary struggles- the struggles born of not knowing who you are or how loved you are. At the centre of the piece is this desire to tell these loved ones a secret.
The secret, I believe, to life. In between the lines is my fear/lack of courage to be honest and share this truth. And underlying it all is the fact that the secret isn’t really a secure at all. It’s a truth that I wish I could share and make them understand / experience the way I have.

Nostalgia reflects on the inner yearning we have for heaven - a place we don’t even know. Nostalgia explores the thoughts of a young person who misses the 80’s, despite never having actually lived through the 80’s. It mimics the heart cry for a place you’ve never been to, for something you’ve never had.

What if we danced? This song is only part my own story. It reflects my own musings around waiting for the right romantic partner, but also creates a snapshot of many peoples stories, wrestlings, wonderings and desires around the topic of romance and wanting that right person. I love the idea of walking with a loved one in the rain, but also use that as a metaphor for the fact that I’d rather walk in the rain than dance alone.
While this song doesn’t really have a particular verse attached, it still reflects the human experiences and wrestling’s from the perspective of someone wrestling with godly romance / relationships and what that looks like and entails.
